These cucumbers are bred for turning into home made gherkins or pickles. Usually grown in a glasshouse or an exceptionally warm, sunny, sheltered nook in the garden. Needs string or mesh to climb on. Will produce good crops if you keep up with picking them - letting fruits get too large can sap the energy of the plant. Edible as fresh cucumbers as well.
